How to be an Additive Light in a Subtractive World
It’s easy to be subtractive in a polarized world.
When we impose our opinions, biases, and beliefs on others, shouting them down, insisting that they do as we say, we’re acting like paint: coloring over that which is in front of us, opaquing away anything that does not meet the approval of our color of thought.
It’s much more collaborative to be additive, like light, where different frequencies of thought combine to create new tones, new ideas, new outcome that include the best of each tone.
In science and art, color requires light. Its pigments absorb and reflect to create the hues of the world around us. By its nature, it separates experience and limits that which we perceive.
Light does not require color. It is frequency. It is whole.
